Rebecca Johnson
Dance Instructor

Miss Rebecca has been a dancer, gymnast, and performer for over 20 years, including 8 years of instructor experience. She gained her dancing and gymnastics expertise at various studios throughout her years, with education from all levels of instructors. She has a background in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, musical theater, modern, lyrical/contemporary, acro, tumbling, and choreography. She spent most of her dance education at Repertory Dance Theater, with a strict training in pre-professional dance including ballet, tap, and jazz. She spent her gymnastics education at what is now Valley Athletics and acro training at Cheryl Chickeys Performing Arts Center. She also attended the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts Charter High School as a Dance Major and William Allen High School where she continued her education with their Dance Academy. After graduating she began student-teaching at Pennsylvania Youth Theater alongside professional choreographer, Lynne Mariani. With Lynne as her mentor and instructor, Rebecca traveled extensively, attending Master Classes of all varieties at Broadway Dance Center and the American Ballet Academy in NYC, Wilkes University, Muhlenberg College, DeSales University, and more. In 2010 Rebecca started her own non-profit dance company for young adults. Alongside her sister, they taught their dancers ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and musical theater, and choreographed performance pieces for parades, festivals, and charity events. Presently, Rebecca is a dance teacher for young children at Stages Academy Performing Arts Preschool where she teaches ballet, tap, jazz, and gymnastics. Miss Rebecca absolutely loves expanding her teaching career at Sue Albert’s School of Dance and is very excited for the upcoming 2020-2021 season.
